Lately, my mind has been heavy with the dark images that flood social media—things I can't seem to unsee. So I am taking a step back, spending time with friends lost in our shared imaginations, where we can become anyone or anything.
After that, I'll return to the world I'm building for my stories. There will be monsters there—some wearing human faces, others stripped of their flesh—but in that world. I hold the pen. I decide who falls and who rises. And in the end, goodwill will prevail.
There will still be pain and loss, moments when my heroes want to surrender. Just like me, they'll stumble. But they'll stand again, because that's what makes a true hero—not powers or armor, but the courage to keep going when everything feels impossible.
